Exterior House Washing

For our standard exterior house cleaning service, all painted exterior walls are Soft Washed from gutter to ground, including exterior gutters, spouting, and downpipes; eaves/soffits; entrance alcoves; joinery; and the base of the house.

First, we apply a combination of the following three cleaning PRODUCTS to the desired surfaces:

  1. house_surface.jpgA salt-based cleaning product that removes mould and fungi, killing the spores and thereby retarding the return of green algae and black fungi.
  2. A grease-cutting citrus solution that breaks down diesel fumes from nearby traffic, road dust, and BBQ splatter.
  3. An environmentally friendly neutral detergent that dissolves general dirt and grime.

After applying the three cleaning agents, we wash off the same surfaces with low-pressure water in a wide, soft fan (it's so soft you can run your hand under it)—known as a Soft Wash. All exterior glass is flushed off with fresh water to remove residue. Note, however, that this glass flush-down is not a proper window cleaning (see: Window Cleaning Services).

Older timber window frames and door frames (joinery typically found on villas and bungalos) have a tendency to leak when washed, so we hand clean around timber joinery with a soft brush and a hose. To make certain we avoid any water egress, we do recommend you put old towels down on the inside sills to minimise potential leakage. This is not necessary for aluminium joinery.

NOTE: The roof of the house can be cleaned or treated but is not included in our standard Exterior House Wash (see: Roof Cleaning Services). The insides of roof gutters are also quoted separately (see: Gutter Cleaning Services).
